I went skeet shooting for the first time... I was humbled... I think I hit about a third of them. Much harder than it looks. I have been getting experience shooting at targets while I move, but nothing like this. It might hook me like the IPSC stuff has... I went through 2 rounds, and then called it quits.
Next I went back to the pistol bays and practiced for awhile with my 9s again. My draw /first shot times are getting better. Still having shots go left... especially the second shot. I am thinking this is made worse by the fact that I am shooting my practice targets right to left... (i will have to test this theory next time I go out). I finished the day with the shotgun again, practicing moving/shooting/reloading.
Overall, several good hours... and fun, too!
I ordered some warren/sevigny sights, as well as a sight tool. I hope that new sights will help. I went with a fiber optic fron, but will probably order the next set with the blade front, to see which I like best. I got the tool because I figure it pays for itself after 3 sight installed (I have 2 guns now, and will replace those sights soon. A gunsmith charges $30+ for instaliation.) I also figure it will allow me to fine tune my point of aim. Lastly, I am really thing about going to the Glock Armorers course. I have already stripped my guns several times, as well as worked on the trigger on my G17. But, it would be nice to learn from the factory guys about the correct way to do it, as well as having access to get compnents directly from the factory.
