GSSF match at South River Gun Club

I RO'd my first match this weekend. Put everything into a whole new light. I spent about 1/3rd of the time scoring, and 2/3rds of the time running the timer/competitors.
The GSSF match went GREAT! I just wish I had shot well... Saturday was so busy, I only left my stage long enough to stuff down a hamburger. But, at the R.O diner that night, I got to meet "the Gunny" R. Lee Ermy and had a fun talking with him.
I managed to shoot the stages early Sunday, but found myself rushing trying to get back to work my stage. I cleaned the plate rack with my 17, but blew the first 2 strings with my 34. I did well with both guns on the Glock M stage, but blew the 5 to Glock stage with my 17. I finished 50th out of 176 with my 17 (Civilian). My misses on the plate rack ended up having me finish 108th out of 126 with my 34 (competition).

Now I am getting ready for the Area 6 Multi Gun Championship this weekend. I'll post my results next week...

One last thing: I won a stage two weeks ago. I was the highest Production shooter on the classifier... Shot solidly in the "B" range, much better than my usual high "D" to low "C" range. I never get tired of talking about this. It was my first major goal to be achieved!
